Position Summary
Maintains rendering process from raw materials bin to finished goods storage. The hours of this shift are 3pm-11:30pm
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains cooker temperature, rate, and steam at required operating levels.
- Controls flow of material to presses and to finished goods storage.
- Loads out-finish product onto trucks.
- Operated pollution control system including air/outdoor control system.
- Performs periodic preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Monitors machinery and brings all problems to attention of supervisor.
- Assures equipment and work area is clean after each shift.
- Operates forklift.
- Performs hourly testing on product to ensure specifications are being met.
- Handles minor problems involving equipment or various situations.
- Follows departmental and company procedures and policies.
- Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must demonstrate positive attitude, strong work ethic, and be a team player
- Basic computer literacy and administrative experience
- Knowledge of mechanical rendering and process of equipment preferred
- Skilled in general mechanics and safe operation
- Good mechanical aptitude and equipment trouble shooting
- Must be 18 years of age and authorized to work in the US
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
